Join us for a 3-day art camp featuring seasonal crafts and activities! Note this is a three-day camp.

Games and afternoon movies will round out the day. Campers will be separated into two groups based on age with projects specific to their age group. Full day campers should bring a lunch. Snacks are provided. 

Prices: YAC Members $85/$130 half day/full day
Non-members $100/$145 half day/full day

Registration ends at 5 pm on the Sunday before camp. If there's "no stock," camp is sold out, and you may call 662-236-6429 to be placed on the waitlist.

Rescheduled due to weather, we will now be on the square on Saturday, Nov. 16th from 11am-3pm making beaded ornaments with children as part of this festive open house to jump start the holiday season. Make sure you stop by the booth, make an ornament and fill out a raffle ticket to win a free art lesson with me in my studio. (limited to first time lesson students please). Join the wave of people making clothes out of quilts by sewing a hoodie that you will love to wear. Using a simple pattern and a quilt or quilted fabric you bring to class, create a comfy and sustainable garment you are sure to adore. Students must have prior sewing machine experience; beginning sewists can qualify after taking Sewing for Complete Beginners the weekend prior.

Always wanted to sew? Have a machine but haven’t taken it out of the box? Let this be your invitation to take the next step, starting with setting up, plugging in, and threading your machine. Learn basic techniques that will leave you with a skills reference you can look back to in the future. Small projects will round out the weekend and give you time to practice your newfound skill set. Return home with the confidence to tackle future sewing projects on your own.

Winter Wonderland Art Camp at the Powerhouse

Ages: 4-12

Join us for a 4-day art camp featuring seasonal crafts and activities! 

Games and afternoon movies will round out the day. Campers will be separated into two groups based on age with projects specific to their age group.

Snacks are provided. Full day campers need to bring a lunch and bring a nap roll/sleeping bag for nap and movie time. 

Prices: Prices: YAC Members $100/$155 half day/full day
Non-members $115/$170 half day/full day

Registration will close Sunday, December 31st, at 12 pm (noon). If camp is sold out, you may call 662-236-6429 to be added to the waitlist. 

Cancellation Policy: 

There will be no refunds for classes/camps offered by Art to Go LLC (exceptions made for Covid). You may request a credit for a future camp/class with Art to Go. Credits must be requested 1 week prior to the start of the class/camp. Credits expire 12 months after the original camp/class start date. Using a credit is subject to availability in the class/camp. Change of registration between half and full day can only be offered for the entire week. Prorating or per day changes are not offered due to the time needed to schedule staff and prepare materials.

Christmas Craft Workshop

Children (geared for ages 3–8) will make a snowman ornament, a card and some other Christmas crafts during this 90-minute class; class time will also include a Holiday related story and a snack. $20 per child includes all materials. This class will be held in my Oxford studio.

Skill Level: All Levels

Create landscape compositions using fabric and textile embellishing. Learn to construct trees and flowers from fabric and to evoke night skies or rolling hills from a felted wool base. We will explore stitching techniques for fastening and embellishment as well as how to use found textiles, scraps, wool, and silk cocoons in our work. Students will get an overview of dyes and fabric paints as we color fabric, embellishments, trims, and more to create unusual fabric compositions.

Set up for Sewing Online Lecture

Instructor: Andi Bedsworth

This is a free online, lecture and demonstration on how to purchase a sewing machine, get sewing tools, what one needs, and how to basically set yourself up for success in sewing. Students should bring lots of questions for fiber artist Andi Bedsworth. Students often wonder what type of sewing machine to buy, this will be a great chance to compare and contrast without the upfront investment. Learn the importance of basics like good fabric scissors, tape measures, and seam gauge with someone who has done it all.

Price: Free

Registration closes at 12 pm (noon) on January 18th.
