Course Instructor
ANDI BEDSWORTH

Andi Sherrill Bedsworth—originally from South Louisiana—was trained as a costume designer and has 20+ years of experience. She now lives and works in Oxford, MS where she works as a mixed media fiber artist and teacher in the community.

 

“What do I want to be when I grow up?”

It’s a question we’ve all asked ourselves at some point in our lives. It can be exciting to think about entering the workforce or starting a career, but a college experience isn’t right for everyone.

If you’re a junior or senior in high school—or have recently graduated—and looking for a more creative alternative to more traditional trade school options, a career in the sewing industry could be the right fit!

There are lots of job opportunities in the sewing trade, and this program will teach you the fundamentals of sewing and get you up-to-speed on sewing industry standards. Understanding the skills needed in a professional environment will help prepare you to enter this in-demand workforce with confidence.
